Slow Food has announced the availability of two apps for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. The app for the Osterie d’Italia and Slow Wine are based on the 2012 publication. The apps are only available in Italian.
The Osterie d’Italia 2012 app lists around 1,700 restaurants throughout Italy (including two in Pontremoli) where you can find authentic local food for under €35 (excluding wine) as well as 100 recipes. It can help you to locate nearby restaurants, search by cuisine type, and share the information with friends.
The Slow Wine 2012 app provides a practical guide to the best wines in Italy and lists over 8,000 products. It provides information on the best wineries and producers.
The apps at just under US$10 each are about half the price of the printed versions.
