The second edition of Pedalata dei Castelli in Lunigiana takes place on Sunday, 28 April 2013. If you’re a keen cyclist, this is an event you shouldn’t miss. Last year’s event attracted nearly 300 participants and was great fun.
This year, the non-competitive cycle ride starts and ends in Bagnone and covers a distance of 20 kilometres and altitudes of 400 metres. From Bagnone, the route passes through the villages of Treschietto, Vico, Orturano, Malgrate, Mocrone and Filleto with gastronomic zero kilometre tastings along the way, as well as entertainment at certain stops. There will be an opportunity to discover the ruined castle at Treschietto, visit the castle at Malgrate, and admire Bagnone’s castle. At the final destination in Bagnone, lunch will be available alongside a variety of local food and craft stands.
Cycling-relating services will be provided for participants, including the hire of racing bikes, mountain bikes and electric ParcoBikes from the Parco Nazionale dell’Appennino Tosco-Emiliano, making the event extremely accessible.
It promises to be a great event, so make a note in your diaries. For more information visit the Lunigiana Outdoor site or email them on email@example.com.
