After around eight months of planning and preparation, I’m about to set off on my solo walk from Lunigiana to Rome, leaving from my home in Malgrate.
Not far from Aulla on the Via Francigena, and affording amazing views over the Magra Valley, are the ruins of Bibola Castle.
On Sunday 24 May 2015, some of Lunigiana’s historic homes will be opening up their private gardens to the public.
