Following the floods in Lunigiana on Sunday, 11 November 2012 (see all the news reports on Ciao Lunigiana’s Facebook page) and the collapse of the bridge at Serricciolo on the SS63 towards Cerreto, it is necessary to take detours to Fivizzano, Monzone, Casola and Fosdinovo. There is no route over the river Aulella at Serricciolo until an emergency Bailey Bridge, similar to the one across the Magra at Villafranca in Lunigiana, can be constructed.
Below are brief instructions on detours recommended by the Unione di Comuni Montana Lunigiana. Click on the Google map links for more detailed directions.
Aulla to Fivizzano – 22.7 km
Take the SP74 from Aulla in the direction of Quercia and continue to Olivola, where you take the SP19 to Serricciolo and then join the SS63 to Cerreto on the other side of the collapsed bridge and continue to Fivizzano as normal.
Aulla to Monzone – 24 km
From Aulla take the SS63 to Pallerone, then SP13 in the direction of Canova and Ceserano. At Ceserano take the SP 12 towards Colla, and at Colla the SP 10 towards Monzone.
Casola to Aulla – 46.7 km
From Casola take the SP16 in the direction of Terenzano and Fivizzano. At Fivizzano pick up the SP17 for Ponte di Posara, then the SP21 towards Agnino and Licciana Nardi. From Licciana Nardi take the SP74 for Terrarossa and the SS62 Cisa road.
Aulla to Fosdinovo – 23.2 km
From Aulla take the SS63 to Pallerone, then SP13 in the direction of Canova and Ceserano. At Ceserano take the SP11 for Bardine and San Terenzo, then the SS446 for Passo del Cucco and Fosdinovo.
