Want to be a beekeeper in Lunigiana?

Beehives in LunigianaLunigiana has the most divine honey. I’ve written about the region’s DOP honey before, so was delighted to see that there is course available, taught by experts, to help you become a producer. Unfortunately, I’m not in a position to become one just yet, but if you are interested in taking up beekeeping, the course is being organised by Miele Toscana and Consorzio Lunigiana Honey DOP. You can’t ask for better credentials than that.

The course, which is in Italian, is being taught by professional beekeepers and will include both technical and practical instruction out in the field.  In total, there are 15 sessions, which will be held twice a week. The course starts on Saturday, 19 February 2011 at 18:00.

The course is being held at the Il Pungiglione Cooperative Village at Bocedi Mulazzo.
